Syikin

This is a girl I shot when I was at Mum's place. I just picked her randomly out of the many girls that was there. She was a little timid at first, but after a while, she was more that eager.

The lighting was magnificent, and the setting was OK, a neighbour let us borrow a guitar that we used as a props. Syikin had no trouble understanding directions and she had fun posing for us. If she desired it, we could've made her a teenage model! hehe..

We had fun photographing her. Nizam, Farhan and I had a great session, and Farhan had the opportunity of learning about strobing.

I like the pictures and I hope everyone else would like them too. It was a memorable shooting session that I'll remember.

Puasa

It is the most cliche thing to talk about right now among muslims. I just found out that three countries; Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore had officially started fasting on Wednesday 11th August, but our neighbour Brunei Darussalam started fasting a day later! There was me thinking that everyone on earth starts on the same day! How dumb of me! hahaha.

I expected to spend the first Iftar together with my elder brother and his wife and daughter. As it turned out, he had to be stationed at Sungai Petani, replacing a colleague who took a day off claiming that he was sick, on the first day of Ramadhan. What a coincidence. At 1 o'clock in the afternoon, I texted him asking to confirm our plans. He said he'll move out of Sg Petani at 5 heading towards Penang. I still was not confident. My instinct was right. at 6.20 p.m, he was still at Tikam Batu. I had already asked Lan to go home and spend the first Iftar with his Mom and family instead of me. How stupid that was. I took a bus home, and on the way, I bought Mak Su's Famous Honey Chicken Rice (Special)(really recommend this. The stall in opposite Umar Al-Khattab Mosque, Bayan Baru) , and some pasties. Took it home and enjoyed the delicious rice with my younger brother and his wife (no daughters involved).

On the second day of Iftar, as I didn't plan anything, and Asma was away in Kelantan with her family, I spent the iftar alone, enjoying the most delicious (the hunger helped made it more delicious) Curry Kuey Teow. Again, I really recommend this, the stall is situated at Giant Hypermarket Bayan Baru's 1st Floor. Look for the ''Mee Melayu'' stall.

One lesson I have learnt this week: No matter how innocent a person looks, he/she is still human, born with lusts and desires. Looks are very deceiving especially nowadays, people might look as good as a saint, but the fact is that they may be in the same ranks as the Devil himself.

I was told a few days ago that I need to change my behavior and attitude. A person related to me that because of my current attitude, nobody wants to be close to me.
My first thought was "WTFFFFFFF ~!@$#%^&*(*&^%$#@!~". I calmed myself down and started to try to think this through as mature as possible. hence, my answer was "Everyone is given the rights to choose who they want to be friends with. If there are people who would not want to make me their friend, I have no power to change this. Whatever your choice is, I respect it, and I appreciate the truthfulness. What I don't appreciate is the badmouthing me behind me."

I truly did appreciate his truthfulness. I did. Hence, I have made my peace with it.

yeay~yeay~ esok posa~ yeay~yeay~

I'm giddy with excitement. To abstain from food, drink and lust is not a big deal for me. It is the benefits from the fasting that I'm after. This year, I have resolved to myself to fast with utmost sincerity. To carefully observe and perform this ibadah all in the name of Allah Al-Mighty. Doing it because He had told me to, and doing it for Him. Then, the spiritual and physical benefits would follow.

Antara fadhilat-fadhilat Ramadhan, tak payah cerita lah! Semua orang tau laa~

As work is the main factor that is preventing me from performing the Tarawih, I'll try to attend as many as possible. Rugi lor~

To all! Happy Fasting~

The Engagement of Firdaus and Syuhaida.

May Peace be onto You, with God's Grace and Mercy.

Don't be shocked, it's not me. It is an assignment that I've tagged along with. Haha.. The two were happily tied in a knot of betrothal on July 11th.
I pray to Allah al-Mighty that these two will be united in the holy union of matrimony. Amin..

The cute couple were photographed at Balik Pulau, Pulau Pinang. Although the lighting was a bit harsh (too harsh according to Sifu Enchek Jasmon Ching), I have tried my best in trying to make the couple look as soft as possible.

This was shot at a small stream that went out to a gorgeous estuary (especially at sunset).

The cute Bride-To-Be, she was a bit shy at first. Haha.. This is my favourite photo. But Sifu says the sun was too bright, and this photo is mediocre. I dunno.. hehehe

Asked the couple to tarik telinga. The Groom-To-Be was fun and sporting. He was very animated, and it was not difficult to get any kind of emotions from him.
This is Firdaus' idea, I merely enhanced it by adding the rainbow around the lurve..

More of the photos can be viewed at my facebook profile http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000791855277&v=photos#!/album.php?aid=54634&id=1641344135..
Happy viewing! ^.^
